With the bulb syringe still squeezed, gently insert the small tip into the nostril where the saline was applied. Release the bulb to create suction, which will draw out mucus and excess saline from your baby's nose. Squeeze the bulb syringe over a sink or container to dispose of the collected mucus. Wait for a minute to calm your baby if they are upset or crying before moving to the other nostril. Repeat steps 3 through 7 for the other nostril.
